A GENERAL CARD FOR EVERYONE: TEMPERANCE
Cancer season and a New Moon in Cancer are upon us which promotes a need for peace, harmony, healing, and love—aka all of the comforts of life. Temperance reinforces this vibe so seek your sanctuary this week and chill out. Moderation and balance, in all things in life, are the key to the door of this sacred healing zone. Keep things on an even keel. Rein in the excesses. Make each day healthy, happy, and full of variety (but too full). Give your nervous system the best week of its life! Avoid stress, pressure, negativity, and unhealthy habits. What you start, and stick to, now could become your natural daily regime and imagine how great you’d feel if you lived this way all the time! Time to change. Time to live better. Time to feel good.
ARIES: THE HERMIT
Maybe it’s time to stay home, get comfortable in your own company, and enjoy a bit of you time. Cancer season is one for lighting the home fires, and The Hermit is a card recommending solitude and self-reflection. When you’re with yourself, your emotions can catch up, in a sense, with recent events and you start to process and churn out insights. This outlook will serve as a foundation for what comes next. Sometimes talking to other folk can dilute your own perspective and take on things. So keep them at arm’s length for now whilst you work through your own ruminations. Treat yourself to a time out.
TAURUS: KING OF SWORDS
I love the King of Swords, an all-time favorite card. Why? It signals you can be ruthless, selfish, and crystal clear about going after what you want. Get strategic. Make a cunning plan for the future. Don’t bend to others’ agendas or demands. Put your needs first and see how that would pan out, and what it would mean, in the future. Then trace back to the here and now and look at the steps you need to take in order to build or protect or create that future outcome. It's a game of minds and intellect. It’s about calculation and strategy. Get that right and the execution will be easy.
GEMINI: TEN OF CUPS
Love is in the air Gemini and it’s like a little parting gift from the cosmos as your season turns over to Cancer, so accept the romantic vibe thankfully and play your part! By that, I mean, get flirty and fun, make a grand gesture, be open to falling in love, be social, make a fuss of folk, indulge in some whimsical play and fantasy shenanigans! You are a childlike spirit with a huge imagination and romance is a domain very much ruled by creative forces. It’s about how you present what you’re doing or saying, and you’re also a master of communication, so creating a super-charged vibe of romance and whimsy will like play for you. Look out for Water signs if you’re single. Pisces, Scorpio, and Cancer could be where it’s at for you right now.
CANCER: FIVE OF WANDS
I think of Cancerian folk as pressure cookers sometimes, absorbing everything and just squashing and boiling it down to nothing so they can go on as normal without looking like anything has disrupted or ruffled them. This takes enormous energy, I can imagine, and the Five of Wands advises it is NOT the way to handle things which get on your nerves or sidetrack you this week. Face it all head on. Direct action. Respond in the moment. Take steps to resolve or overcome the issue. Don’t try and boil it down to nothing and make it the new normal. Act! You don’t have to take this on board, reject it, and deal with it.
LEO: PAGE OF PENTACLES
Education is always front of mind when this Page arises. He is the tarot’s eternal student. Maybe you are thinking about retraining in your career? Or taking on some professional development? Perhaps a personal challenge? A new skill? A creative pastime? A lecture or workshop to deep dive a topic that fascinates you? Stimulate your mind this week, Leo, by learning something new, even if it’s just reading a book or listening to a podcast. Take in fresh intel. It will mingle and mix with what you already know and awaken new ideas and insights.
VIRGO: EIGHT OF SWORDS
Stop overthinking it, Virgo. I mean it! The Eight of Swords sees you projecting ideas and assuming opinions on the behalf of others, typically negative ones, and it’s a kind of self-harm to keep on doing this to yourself. It’s also pointless in practical terms because you have NO IDEA what they really think, and who cares anyway. Refocus on yourself, your opinions, your take on it, your ideas, and your true feelings. Use all of that as your guide as to next steps, and let them deal with whatever comes. That is their problem, not yours. Stop overthinking and trying to pre-empt everyone’s reactions.
LIBRA: THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE
Change is afoot in Libra Towers! A phase of positive transformation lies ahead, potentially affecting multiple areas of your life, although it will start in just one. And the good news is that YOU can pick which one! So, think about something you wish were different, and take a pro-active step towards making that shift this week. It will have a powerful impact and create a ripple effect that echoes all through your realm. This is the start of a fast n’ furious phase of change. Buckle up!
SCORPIO: THE WORLD
The World is the major arcana’s final card and an omen of an ending which will lead to an important new beginning. Something is reaching a natural conclusion or finale. You have done this level. But what next? Well, I think that will become much clearer as this week unfolds. It might involve travel or location change as this card also predicts literal worldly movements. It might involve setting a new challenge or goal, something which builds on what you’ve achieved so far. Let your mind open up to new horizons.
SAGITTARIUS: KNIGHT OF SWORDS
You are a natural warrior, Sagittarius, you are the only star sign with a fighter character for a symbol (the archer). The Knight of Swords echoes that and brings you warrior like energy and fuel this week. It’s time to stand up for yourself and fight back. It’s time to speak up, get up, and resist. Maybe even to use assertion and force to expand your scope or territory. We are all animals, we are all capable of fighting, and sometimes we have to. Go show them how strong and vibrant you can be, go show them they have tangled with the wrong one.
CAPRICORN: ACE OF CUPS
A new relationship is emerging in your realm this week, potentially a romantic one, but also maybe a new pet or family member, friend, or ally. They might be a Water sign (Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio). The main thing here is that this is all about love. You feel an immediate pull towards this person and it is reciprocated. It could even be a love at first sight moment. This encounter is not just a lucky one off. It has the potential to become a lifelong connection and bond, so keep an open mind (and heart) and follow your passions wherever they lead.
AQUARIUS: PAGE OF CUPS
Your inner child is calling for your attention this week, Aquarius. They want to play, be comforted, feel heard and understood, enjoy time with their greatest protector and advocate (i.e. you)! Go down Memory Lane, reconnect with old friends, look back at photo, play music and view old toys you once loved, remember the highs and lows, talk to family. There is great insight and solace to be found in rediscovering your childhood self and measuring the distance, as well as the things which aren’t so very different. The essence of you has probably always been as it is now, and that can be very grounding and reassuring.
PISCES: SEVEN OF WANDS
You feel ready to enter a competition, take on a challenge, join a team, set a stretching personal goal, or throw down the gauntlet yourself to a friend or colleague and strive to do something difficult. Challenges are good, they get us OUT of our comfort zones and build self esteem. The Seven of Wands suggests something that is new to you, that will take about eight weeks to do, and that makes you feel excited and inspired. It might involve travel, exercise, education, or creativity. Or all of them! Fire signs (Leo, Aries, Sagittarius) are always good competitors if you’re seeking a buddy.
